The suites are very spacious and well designed. We rented 2 suites, a one bedroom and a 2 bedroom. Both had kitchens though with limited cooking utensils. The location is excellent, easy walking distance to Petronas Towers and a large mall. The suites have access to a pool and gymnasium plus a yoga studio. There was evidence of the rooms needing some maintenance and in our room there was mould on the ceiling. Attending to these items would generate a 5 star review.

Check in process a bit slow and the room had not been cleaned when i checked in btw they apologise for the mistake they make and clean it immediately. Overall the price that paid for it is quite reasonable and worthy as the builiding is located at a strategic location.

My birthday trip was ruined ....

I've booked in for 4 nights at the property with my husband & since it was my birthday trip, I did not want to further ruin it. When we arrived at the property, we've gotten our access card from the mailbox room, expecting the unit to be in a FULLY FUNCTIONAL STATE. Our unit number was A-17-3A and the unit was horrible. For 4 nights we slept with a terrible A/C leakage in the room ( I slipped and fell while heading to use the bath, in the middle of the night as the carpet and floor was wet from the leakage ) The A/C outside the living area and and the kitchen was FOREVER 28 degrees ( you can NEVER adjust the temperature ), sitting down in the living to have a cup of coffee is unimaginable & we stayed 4 nights in that unbearable condition. That explains the 3 unit of air cooler in the room though, which 2 of it doesn't work. The TV literally is there for deco purpose only. We didn't watch TV at all for 4 nights. In the room, or in the living room, both doesn't work. My husband and I we had some movie time only with my own IPad, which is sad. The room is partially lit. Not all light bulbs are working. My husband had to open the curtains for the sunlight to do his usual shaving routine in the morning. Safe box is also not working, with extra pillows and mattress THROWN in the closet ( with musty smell ). The carpet in the living room has horrific stains on it, you name it, as if it were never cleaned. No extra towels provided as well. Overall this was the worse experience ever. If you are looking for a unit under this management, I suggest you to reconsider. I had booked with Fraser Residence directly before and I love the small details they paid attention to. If I were to come back again, I will only book it through Fraser residence ONLY.

Clean spacious room

Check in was a disaster as the location for check in and the actual room is in two different buildings, although just next to one another. I was carrying a child and luggages, and was raining heavily, went to the hotel and was told to check in next building (and didnt realize my room would eventually be here), had to carry all my stuff back to the car, drove to next building, check in, was told the room is not here, drove back to the other side. All these could have been avoided if it was written when I booked the room. Room was very spacious and clean. Bed was nice and firm. Air conditioning works great and water pressure in bathroom was superb. TV has access to Netflix and YouTube. One of the windows in the room could not be closed so loud motorbike noises can be heard during the night. Requested for extra bath towels but did not come. There is a nice pool area with slide, and a big playground area so if you're bringing kids this is a nice place to stay in. There is a train station about 280meters away, about 5mins walk.

The 188 suites is in fact part of the Fraser Residence in KL. However, I guess Fraser also sold some of the units and the owners of those formed the 188 suites and rent them to visitors. As part of the Fraser Suites, 188 is a nice place to stay. Room is quite big, with a formal kitchen, balcony, closet, etc. Swimming pool and gym are shared with Fraser but that's not a problem because they are both in decent size. The less attractive side of the place is that it is quite close to train station and Petronas Towers but you may not want to wall too much when it is hot during the day. The walk towards the Towers is a bit rough as you have to go through an open parking lot. It is not dangerous though. And if you want to look for something cheaper, you may need to take a taxi. Now I am going to say why you should book with Fraser directly. When I got to the hotel, there was the Fraser reception and I went talking to them; which was also what Agoda had told me in its email. However, the reception told me that they didn't handle 188 suties and I must contacted the owner directly. As a visitor I didnt have a phone that I could call a local number. Luckily the Fraser reception was nice and helped me to make the call; but I already found it quite inconvenience. What if I arrived late at night and was unable to contact the owner at the end? And then next day; it was totally my fault, I went to swim with only my swim shorts on. I had not put on my shirt but had the towel covering my upper body. My room used a door-code instead of key-card; and yes I was stupid enough and thought that i could remember the code. However, after some nice swim and sun-bathing, I totally forgot about the code haha. I tried a few times but no luck. So the only thing I could do was to contact the owner again and asked for the code. And you are right, I did not have my phone with me; so once again, I bothered the Fraser reception and they were so nice that they called the owner for me the second time. They were smiling at me as I only had my swim shorts on at the hotel lobby which I also felt sort of inappropriate to be looking like that in country like Malaysia. I was not complaining for sure, and I could not thank them enough for helping me to get back to my room again. I guess all I want to tell you is even though you may not end up in a similar situation, I will suggest you to book directly with Fraser. Why taking the risk anyway? One last thing is that the restaurant on GF is surprising cheap. Although the food is not very tasty, it comes in big portion so it will be ideal for late meal.
